All right, it does have a rather convuluted
plot--but this series from Gingax is top rate. And the controvertial
ending that no one liked? Probably because noone undurstood it--Well, I
liked it. The new ending that they made for the fans really sucks.
The Voice of a Distant Star (Hoshi
no Koe)
I saw this at Comic Con 2002 in San Diego. It is
absolutely incredible! Not just because of the amazing artwork and
animation--and the top notch script (I wish I had though of the plot),
but because the in was made at some guys home on a power Mac G-4 with
Photoshop and Light wave--all by himself. He got two of his friends to do
the dialogue, and everything else is his (except the music).
This is a testament to what I think Anime has a true
potential for. Not Saturday morning cartoons, but
